The UK government has announced new regulations to protect the public from unsafe cosmetic procedures. From licensing requirements for non-surgical treatments to strict oversight of high-risk interventions, the aim is to ensure only qualified professionals perform these procedures in regulated settings.
These rules are designed to eliminate unregulated “cowboy” practices, reduce complications, and ease the burden on the NHS caused by botched treatments. Under the changes, the Care Quality Commission (CQC) will oversee the most invasive procedures, while local authorities will license lower-risk treatments.
At Dottore London, this isn’t a change—it’s the way we’ve always worked. Safety and excellence are at the heart of everything we do.
Our lead surgeon, Dr Nefer Fallico, is triple-board certified in the UK, Italy, and France, with extensive expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Every procedure takes place in our fully CQC-registered clinic, meeting the highest standards of hygiene, patient care, and clinical governance.
For patients, this means:
- Treatments only by licensed, experienced professionals
- Procedures performed in medically regulated facilities
- Transparent consultations and ethical care
If you are considering a cosmetic procedure, ask yourself: Who is performing it? Where will it take place? What standards apply?
When safety becomes the law, excellence must be the standard. At Dottore London, it always has been.
