Dr. Lucia Venneri graduated with honors in 2000 from the University of Pisa. In 2003, she completed her Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Pathophysiology at the Sant’Anna- School of Advanced Studies in Pisa. In 2007, she completed her specialist training in cardiology with honors. From 2000 to 2008, she worked as a Researcher at the Institute of Clinical Physiology-Pisa/National Research Council (CNR). Since 2008, she has been worked as consultant cardiologist at G. Monasterio Foundation in Pisa, Tuscany. She has participated in numerous clinical trials and research projects.

Since 2014, she has been based in London, working until November 2020 at the Royal Brompton Hospital as a Specialty Doctor in Cardiology. During this time, she contributed to organizing the Echocardiography Service dedicated to the Cardio-Oncology Clinic and the Hereditary Cardiomyopathies Clinic. From February 2021, she has been working as a Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Free Hospital, where she is part of the multidisciplinary team at the National Amyloidosis Centre-NAC, serving as the head of the Echocardiography Service. She is also involved in cardiac magnetic resonance and cardio-pulmonary stress testing.
